Bistro Aragosta is a restaurant  of patron cuisinier Wouter Brandsema. Shortly after his training, Wouter started working with Jan Gerard van der Wal. From 2016 as sous-chef at Le Petit Bistro in Sneek and from 2021 as patron cuisinier of Bistro Aragosta in Leeuwarden. Wouter proved to be a driven young man who has further developed his culinary and business talents, partly due to Jan Gerard’s extensive gastronomic experience.

Together they have managed to direct Bistro Aragosta to the highest level in Leeuwarden in no time. Since the opening, the restaurant has been sold out almost every night and has organized major culinary events, such as the Rosé Events, the Frysk Gala and the Fête du Champagne in 2023.

The first achievement was announced in April that Euro Toques has extended the Michelin BIB GOURMAND recognition for Bistro Aragosta in 2023. Bistro Aragosta is also listed in the Gault & Millau guide with a current great score of 14 out of 20. All this makes Wouter proud and he and his team work hard to maintain and, where possible, improve this level. However, the most important thing for Wouter is the experience of the guests. In the atmospheric ambiance that Bistro Aragosta offers, Wouter and his team give personal attention with the aim of giving the guests an unforgettable evening and exceeding expectations.
